Your Credit Scores
An account that is seriously past due. A creditor will often turn the account over to their collection department or sell the debt to a collection agency. Once the debt is sold, the account can be reported as a separate account on your credit report. The impact of a collection account has a significant negative hold on your credit scores.
Typically you have a 30-day window with your creditors to get a payment in before they report negative information to the Credit Bureaus. Paying 30 days or more past due could drop your scores by as much as 100 points.
When a creditor gives up on trying to collect a debt after you've missed payments for several months, it's considered a charge-off. In other words, a creditor can decide that the debt is a loss for the company and designate it as "charged off." You are not off the hook for repaying that debt. The charge-off can remain on your credit report for up to 7 years from when your first missed payment was reported.
Repossessions can damage your credit score to a very high degree. This can make it extremely hard to obtain another auto loan in the near future. The listing of repossessions in the public records section of your credit report will haunt you for years.
Hard inquiries are applications for new credit accounts, which make up about 10% of your credit score. Too many hard inquiries in a short period of time could make you look like you're seeking loans and credit cards that you may need help to pay back. Hard inquiries remain on credit reports for two years.
How Do I Know My Credit Is Being Worked On?
Upon signing up, you will be given a secured client portal to track your progress. The portal will allow you to see all the challenge letters we submit to the bureaus, and creditors on your behalf, send messages, upload documents, pay invoices, track your monthly updated scores, etc.
Can Deleted Items Be Placed Back On My Credit Report?
Your creditors may report an item again, even after it’s been removed or deleted. Also, creditors may even sell your debt to another company that will report that debt as a new account on your credit report. It’s important to contact both the credit bureaus and your creditors. This will increase the likelihood that inaccurate or unfair negative items will not reappear on your credit.
How Long Does Credit Repair Take?
Every credit profile is different. Profiles with an average amount of negative information can typically take 4-6 months to see the results you seek. Other credit profile situations may require a little more time.
How Much Should Credit Repair Cost?
Credit repair is a specialized and intense service requiring much personal attention. We offer advanced credit repair for our clients, but we don't believe in charging an advanced price. We are here to help by keeping the fee for our services very affordable for all clients.
Fico vs. Vantage
Which Is Industry Standard?
90% of top lenders use FICO scores when making lending decisions. Your lender will likely be checking your FICO Scores to determine how much you can borrow and how much interest you'll pay over some time.
What Is A Good Credit Score?
Depending on the credit scoring model, credit scores ranging from 580 to 669 are generally considered fair; 670 to 739 are considered good; 740 to 799 are considered very good, and 800 and up are considered excellent.
